Cutting Operator – Steel Welded Wire Mesh Factory
Job Description:
The operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring wire cutting and straightening machines to ensure production targets, product quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate wire cutting and straightening machines according to production schedules and specifications.
- Set machine parameters including wire diameter, length, speed, and straightness tolerance.
- Load steel wire coils into machines safely and efficiently.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and adjust settings when required.
- Inspect finished wires for correct dimensions, straightness, and surface quality.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify and report machine faults, breakdowns, or quality issues to the maintenance or production supervisor.
- Ensure accurate counting, bundling, and labeling of finished products.
- Minimize material waste and optimize machine productivity.
- Follow factory safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
- Maintain production records, output reports, and downtime logs.
- Coordinate with welding mesh machine operators and production staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist in changing wire sizes and machine setup during production changes.
