Job Description:

The Wire Drawing Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining wire drawing machines used in the production of steel wires for welded wire mesh manufacturing. The role includes setting up machines, ensuring wire dimensions and quality standards, monitoring production output, and maintaining safe and efficient operations within the factory. The operator works closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve production targets while minimizing downtime and material waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate wire drawing machines for steel wire production.
  • Set up machines according to wire size and production specifications.
  • Feed wire rods into drawing machines and monitor the drawing process.
  • Adjust machine settings such as speed, lubrication, and tension to maintain product quality.
  • Inspect wire diameter, surface finish, and tensile quality during production.
  • Replace dies and consumable parts when required.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify operational issues.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of machines.
  • Ensure proper lubrication and cooling systems are functioning correctly.
  • Record production data, machine performance, and material usage.
  • Minimize material wastage and production downtime.
  • Follow factory safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians for repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards around the production area.
